Preventive Dentistry
Prevention of dental diseases is certainly more desirable than treating and correcting a problem. The risks of dental decay and gum disease are minimized by controlling the plaque and tartar on your teeth. Even more important than the thorough in-office cleaning provided by our dentist and hygienists is your daily routine referred to as home care. We will make sure to explain the techniques and implements specific to your needs. Tooth decay risk is also minimized by proper brushing and flossing, and minimizing sugar in the diet, especially between meal sticky snacks or frequent sweet drinks. Fluoride toothpaste and stronger prescription pastes may be recommended. Remember: ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT TOOTH DECAY!” Young children should begin preventive visits as soon as all first teeth are in, usually by 3 years of age. We love providing dental care to children!

Contrary to popular belief, this decay is not caused by “soft teeth”, but rather a lack of brushing and flossing with excessive sugary snacks and drinks. Most dental disease is preventable. YOUR TEETH SHOULD LAST A LIFETIME!
Cosmetic Dentistry
Your smile depends on the straight alignment of teeth with a naturally white shade. Often the wisest way to improve your tooth shade is to consider our home whitening treatment , a non-invasive affordable path to whiter teeth. This treatment utilizes custom-made trays which deliver a whitening gel to your teeth at home for 30 minute sessions usually totaling about 12 in number. The straightening of your teeth’ s alignment may be best accomplished orthodontically using braces or the Invisalign system of very popular treatment with clear guards instead of traditional braces. We refer our patients to an orthodontist for these treatments. Cosmetic dental treatment may also include composite bonding as well as veneers and crowns.
